Yes. Don't go anywhere without it. Never know when someone could come close to ruining a nice standing rib roast.
Here in MN it was -14 Sat. not counting windchill. Its a wonder things can survive, even meat.
Are you sure? I don't think anything living can survive at that temperature.

I never realized meat thermometers read temps that low.
